The questions and prompts below are just to get you thinking, rather than being a prescriptive list of topics.
Current Situation
  • Thinking about your current situation (either as a teacher, parent, member of the community) what/how is technology being used to support learning?
    • Consider what technology is in classrooms
    • greatest accomplishment
    • something you saw that impressed you
  • Thinking back to the first steps you made outside your comfort zone in using technology for education;
    • What was the key driver in your first steps?
    • What inspired you, what/who supported you, what did you do?
  • What are the things that are creating barriers to effective use of technology for education?
    • Think about issues unique to the West Coast, your own experience, issues that may have been resolved for you but still exist for others,
    • Are these barriers systematic, people, financial, technical?

Future Situation
  • If you could wave a magic wand what would your situation look like?
    • Think about the technology available, the support given, the opportunities or experiences
  • How will/could technology change education on the West Coast for the better
    • Thinking realistically what could be different in 5 years, 10 years, what is the change in educational outcomes, students skills, opportunities?
    • What would make things better for you, quick wins, longer term projects
